OUR ALBUM IS FINISHED!!

We will be having a launch party THIS SATURDAY at Mudpie Creative Studio in Folkestone from 7.30pm! It’ll be a night to celebrate the release of our debut album, “Writing on the Wall” with good friends and family and will be the first opportunity for anyone to buy a copy of the album before it’s general release, which will be in a few weeks! The event is free entry however, as we have limited spaces, we are going to need to know who wants to come. Please either let us know via message/text etc or join the Facebook event. Everyone who RSVPs will be put on a guestlist (please let us know before Saturday morning so we have an idea of how many numbers we have!). Thanks to everyone for their support during the production of this album…we’re really proud of it and really hope you guys enjoy it!

Here it is!!….. The first of a few exciting announcements is here!

We’ve been working on our first music video and it was finally released last night! We’re all very excited about this for many reasons. We were able to work with a very awesome, talented team of people on this video and enjoyed the experience so much.

Now that the video is out, it only means one thing……. Our album-release-date is extreeeeemely close!! It’s still a bit of a secret but there’s not much longer to go… Promise!

ORFILA we’re asked to judge ‘Bouverie’s Got Talent’ in Folkestone on Saturday and we had a fantastic time! We were on the panel with the beautiful ‘face of England’ Leigh Sinden and guest judge, Rio. Got to see the lovely James Sheerwood again too which was great fun, as always! It was so tough to make a decision but a huge WELL DONE to every single person who took part… Wish we could have given you all a prize!

We then headed to Hythe to play a two hour set at The Globe Inn. We had so much fun!!

Then on Sunday we played at the lovely Sandgate Hotel for the afternoon!

It was another awesome, gig-filled weekend!

ALBUM NEWS: We are literally days away from having the finished album in our hands…!!! ‘Excited’ doesn’t cover it! When I mention it now I just make a high-pitched ‘eeeeee’ sound with excitement!! Please keep an eye on our facebook and website for announcements that are happening VERY soon!! And by ‘VERY soon’ I may or may not mean by the end of this week…. Maybe?…..

I’ve been watching videos by Natalie Weiss for a few years now. She’s a singer from America and I think she’s great. I recently came across this particular video and, of course, I thought I’d share it with you! It’s perfect for anybody musical-theatre minded. Hopefully you’ll appreciate it as much as I do.

My personal favs are currently ‘On Bended Knee’ and ‘Falling Slowly’….

Where do I begin?!?!

It’s starting to take off with ORFILA and there are so many exciting things happening… Some awesome things have already happened, I’ve just not had any time to blog about it!

We’ve been so busy in the recording studio finishing the final parts and we are now onto mixing the tracks. It’s all so exciting, and although it’s been a long process for us, it won’t be long before we can finally share what we’ve been up to! Head over to our website for all the latest updates! As per usual, my little world is absolutely crazy busy but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I have met some amazing people recently and have had some amazing experiences. I always come back to this but… I feel so lucky and blessed to be able to do the things that I do. I get to write songs, record them, rehearse them, perform them… All with two of my favorite people by my side.

I’ve been saying to some of you that I will try to post more blogs about the ‘ORFILA Journey’………. I’ve failed in recent times! However, I’ll do my best from now to keep you updated with what we’re up to!

I recently went into the studio to work with a musician friend of mine, the wonderful James Kirby. I absolutely love James’ music and I was so happy to have been asked to be involved with his latest album. My life is so crazy-busy! I won’t delve into everything I’ve been up to recently because it would be quite a lengthy read!

There’s been tonnes of rehearsing, teaching singing, putting together workshops, gigging, writing songs, recording (the final parts of Orfila’s debut album!!!) etc etc.

There are so many exciting things coming up and they’ll all be announced over the next few weeks! I feel so lucky to be able to do all these things and as crazy as my world is, I wouldn’t change a thing!
